For the 4th of July this year we spent the day at the wonderful parade in Round Top, TX, just a little farther West of Brenham off of 290. This is said to be the oldest Independence Day parade still around! Boy, is it fun! Hot, yes, but fun! Most of the people in the parade are driving homemade floats, driving their antique tractors or riding horses and ALL are having a great time. 99% of the people are also throwing out goodies such as candy, beads, and even little pies (thanks, Royers!). We had a blast and after the parade made our way over to the hall for a delicious BBQ lunch. Doesn't get any better than that! We also went that night to a friend's house with Nana and Papa Lueckemeyer to watch fireworks. Caleb was a big fan!
