We're expecting . . .

another baby boy!!!  We are so excited to announce that we are expecting our second child, due to arrive November 27 (but Aliceson is hoping a little sooner so she can enjoy Thanksgiving dinner)!  We found out that we were pregnant on March 16, 2012.  Ultrasound at 8 weeks confirmed we were pregnant with ONE child (woo hoo!) and another at 20 weeks showed boy parts!

Beginning at about 5.5 weeks, Aliceson started feeling that same familiar nauseated feeling she felt with Caleb until 24 weeks along.  By 6 weeks she was feeling horrible 24/7, couldn't eat or drink much, and keeping water down was a challenge.  Thank God for modern medicine and the miracle drug, Zofran.  It's not perfect but it sure does help.  Aliceson was pretty much stuck at home, if not in bed, this time from 6-13 weeks when the nausea began to lift a bit.  She still got sick many times around 10:00 at night but the all-day, unrelenting, debilitating, weight-loss inducing nausea and vomiting was gone.  Although she wasn't sick as long as she was with Caleb's pregnancy, the nausea was probably twice as worse so not sure which is the better choice . . . Thankfully that is a thing of the past and let's hope it doesn't make any reappearances in the third trimester!
