Soccer Star

Our little (big) guy is now training to be the next soccer star!  Caleb is playing for i9 Sports in our area and loving it!  His friend Ian is on the team and Ian's dad, Mr. Matt, is now "Coach Matt"!  When Coach Matt was alone in his coaching duties and needed a hand with 10 4-year olds at the first practice, "Coach Kyle" stepped in as assistant coach.  Samuel and I are the cheerleaders (and snack-eaters) on the sidelines.  We are loving the set-up that i9 Sports has!  The kids practice for about 30-45 minutes on Saturday morning and their game is immediately following the practice.  It's nice to only have that commitment once a week and not have to start shuffling him around after school and such so early in life.  Caleb mostly loves talking to his friends on the field, letting others on his team chase the ball, trying to line up for the perfect shot in the middle of the game, and testing out how great his shin guards work with a friend.  haha  It's fun to see him interact with others and try out something new.  Time will tell if we continue this sport or go for something different after soccer season is finished!
