We are so blessed by this little boy that God has entrusted to us and by our wonderful loving families. There is much to be thankful for. Kyle, Caleb and I enjoyed getting together with our families this week to give thanks for all we have and to enjoy company with each other.
We started out with a delicious dinner at my grandmother's house in Brenham on Wednesday night. My grandma makes the most delicious and moist turkey I've ever eaten so it's always a treat. She always makes an extra large bird so we can have plenty of leftovers (22 pounds this year)! That's only a little over two pounds of turkey we each were responsible for along with the gravy, sweet potatoes, green beans, corn, two kinds of dressing, rolls, blueberry cheesecake, and pineapple pie. We were stuffed like a turkey on Thanksgiving! Thanks, Grandma!
Grandma took some time out from turkey cookin' to put Caleb to sleep.
Caleb loved getting to spend some time again with Mimi and Paw Paw Niemeyer.
On Thursday morning we made the trek to Georgetown to have Thanksgiving dinner with Kyle's family. Duane and Leah always graciously open their home for us and send us all back home with our tummies full!
Caleb and Aunt Jan
Amanda is such a great cousin! She was a great help with Caleb.
"Thanks for offering Uncle Duane, but I think MY fingers taste better!"
Happy to be loving on Aunt Kelee!
Grandma Lueckemeyer couldn't join us in Georgetown this year but we were sure to go by and wish her a happy Thanksgiving as well. She thinks Caleb is getting way too heavy and wiggly for her to hold anymore!
With Thanksgiving comes a big sale on sweet potatoes! I took advantage and baked a bunch to freeze for baby food. Here's Caleb's first taste -- Do you think he likes them??
